Yes, winter is coming, and not just to Westeros, but to all of us here in the real world, too. We had a chilly, wet Halloween this year, even here in LA. So it’s finally the season I’ve been waiting impatiently for……time to bust out the sweaters and coats and all that good stuff we can layer on to make the best fashion looks. Here are a few of my wintertime favorites.
Top row: Fair Isle sweater from Old Navy; black & white fur jacket by C. Luce from Piperlime; Bostwick Toggle Coat by BB Dakota from ThreadSence.com; reversible wrap sweater vest byJohn Paul Richard from Macy’s.
Second row: Alpine-embroidered corduroy skirt by Lithe from Anthropologie; vintage leopard coat I’ve had for about 25 years now; Guess Lena faux-fur colorblocked vest ($158, but I spurged & got it on sale at Macy’s for $110 – just had to have it – obsessed); plaid leggings from TopShop.
Third row: My knockoff of the jacket from the Burberry runways a few seasons ago (mine is not leather, some sort of faux suede & fleece); fair isle print leggings by Beulah, from my favorite shop, En Ciel, which sadly, went out of business here; dark floral pants, MNG by Mango from JC Penney; velvet snake-print leggings by Gaultier, (bought at the Mirage in Las Vegas over 20 years ago). Long fuzzy cowl-neck cable knit sweater from H&M.
Bottom row accessories: Sweater knit & faux fur purse, came with Bath & Body Works products (it’s small, but so cute I stuff In my wallet & use it as a purse); faux fur & suede booties, Elle from Kohl’s; thigh-high sweater-knit boots (got cut off a bit) by Isaac Mizrahi (another Mirage find I’ve held onto for 20 years). So cozy!
These are my favorite things to wrap up in when the weather turns frightful. What are yours?
